SoFest presents the concert show “Let’s Throw Opera into Jazz”.
The fantastic Militsa Gladnishka, together with the virtuoso musicians of the Mihail Yosifov Sextet – Vasil Spasov on piano, Atanas Popov on drums, Velislav Stoyanov on trombone, Boris Taslev on double bass, and Dimitar Liolev on saxophone – will present the truly unique project “Let’s Throw Opera into Jazz”.
Get ready for a concert show in which the musicians boldly experiment with great arias from the operas “Carmen”, “The Magic Flute”, “The Barber of Seville”, as well as the ballet “Romeo and Juliet”, intertwining them with the distinctive audacity and beauty of jazz.
The result is a series of stunning new interpretations of classical masterpieces, giving them an entirely new life.
The SoFest audience will be swept away by a whirlwind of emotions and will remember for a long time the evening when Opera was thrown into Jazz.
